ELIGIBILITY

 

The competition is open to all design students and young professionals, including architects, architectural interns, and landscape architects who have completed their education at the undergraduate or graduate level within 10 years of the competition announcement. The participants may be licensed individuals within their respective professions. Students must be either undergraduate or graduate students enrolled in an architecture or landscape design program in Texas. Architects, Architectural Interns and Landscape Architects must be residents of Texas. Each individual or team may submit multiple designs, as long as each design is submitted separately and each design meets all program requirements.

Individuals directly related to, or working for, any member of the competition administrators or jury are not eligible to submit a design.

 

REGISTRATION

Please register early. Registration allows the competion administrators time to plan for events based on number of entrants. Each individual or team must register for the competition by February 14, 2007. Registration forms are available on the competition website.
Upon registration, each team will receive a registration number which will be used to identify all documentation, and should be used for all correspondence.
Registration Fee: $20.00 per entry (Due by March 16, 2007)
The deadline for entries is April 1, 2007.

 

SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS

- (3) 22x34 Presentation Boards, Mounted on Foam-Core, Portrait Format (maximum.) Images should not project more than 1/8” from the surface of the board. The presentation must include the following: (1) Site Plan (with Analysis) at a scale of 1:100 and (1) Drawing, representing 3-phase development of the park (initial development, 5 years, and long-term.)
- (1) 8.5 x 11 Written Description of the design intent, Portrait Format (Maximum)
- (1) CD containing PDF files of each of boards and written description, named using your registration number (ex: 73-1.pdf, 73-2.pdf, etc.). The PDF Files should have a resolution of 200 DPI.
- All Boards should be numbered on the reverse side with the entrant number and the order number of the board, similarly to the PDF instructions.
- There should be no names, logos, or other identifying information on the documents other than the registration number on the back of the boards. Any additional identifying information found will immediately disqualify the entrant.

All designs must be RECEIVED by April 1, 2007.
